山本愛子 Aiko Yamamoto
美術家。1991年神奈川県生まれ。東京藝術大学大学院先端芸術表現科修了（2017）。ポーラ美術振興財団在外研修員として中国にて研修（2019）。 自然環境と人間の関係性をテーマに、主に染色技術を用いた作品を制作。アジアを中心に国内外でフィールドリサーチや滞在制作を行い、土地に根ざした自然の記憶と人の営みが交差する痕跡や風景を可視化する。自然と人工、可視と不可視のあわいを探求し、染める行為を通じてその揺らぎを掬い上げることを試みる。
Aiko Yamamoto Artist. Born in 1991 in Kanagawa, Japan. Completed her MFA at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2017. In 2019, she undertook research in China as a fellow of the POLA Art Foundation Overseas Study Program. Yamamoto’s work explores the relationship between nature and human activity, primarily through the medium of textile dyeing. Conducting field research and residency projects across Asia and beyond, she visualizes the intersections of natural memory and human presence embedded in the landscape. Her practice delves into the liminal spaces between nature and artifice, visibility and invisibility, capturing these delicate transitions through the medium of fabric.
